Welcome to the registration for the 2026 F=ma Exam!!

• The F=ma exam is the preliminary exam for the U.S. Physics Team. Students taking the F=ma exam must be either U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), or currently attending a U.S. school.
• Students must also be located within the U.S. to take the F=ma and USAPhO exams.
• The F=ma exam is a 75-minute exam with 25 multiple choice questions focusing on mechanics.
• The F=ma exam will be administered via an online platform, a printable exam will not be available. Students will need to have a computer or tablet with access to the internet.
• The F=ma Exam will take place February 12, 2026 ONLY!!  The exam window is 1 pm to 4 pm EST ONLY!!  Please check your calendar before registering your students.
• For-profit test prep centers and educational services are not allowed to proctor the F=ma or USAPhO exams.
