Relating to the global COVID-19 pandemic, Attendee acknowledges the highly contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assumes the risk of exposure or infection by attending the FTI, and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, disability, and/or death to Attendee. Attendee understands that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at the November 2024 FTI may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of others who may attend the event or their families, colleagues, or others with whom they may have contact. Accordingly, Attendee understands and agrees that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the AAPT, APS and AAS and their subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, officials, employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after participation in the November 2024 FTI. In addition to all other rules and regulations relating to Attendee’s attendance at the November 2024 FTI, In-Person attendees agree to comply with all COVID-related procedures that may be implemented by the FTI leaders, including, but not limited to, mask-wearing and social distancing requirements and restrictions on certain activities that carry higher COVID-related risk, to protect, as much as possible, the health and safety of all FTI attendees.

Registration

The registration information below is being requested both to provide formal registration information and to allow the presenters to tailor the workshop to support participants as effectively as possible.

Please complete the registration as soon as possible, but certainly before September 19, 2024.

Once your registration is submitted, you should receive a confirmation email message. If you do not receive that confirmation email within a few hours, please contact [email protected]. You will be emailed links to three follow-up questionnaires: one asking for anonymous demographic information, one confirming your travel plans, and the last asking you about your career interests and faculty professional development opportunities on your home campus. This information must be provided to fully participate in the program.

By registering for the workshop, you agree to receive post-workshop relevant email communications from AAPT, APS, and the FTI program evaluator about FTI programming. You can unsubscribe at any time.

In the registration fee payment process, you will be asked to set up a free AAPT account if you do not have one already. That step allows us to store your contact information in the AAPT database as a record of your participation in the FTI.

To complete the registration process be sure to click "save responses" before proceeding to checkout.

For more information and to apply for this support, please email PI Rachel Ivie at [email protected] by Sept. 13.
