Workshop Expectations
The Faculty Teaching Institute is intended for university faculty teaching physics and/or astronomy. There will be pre-Institute homework that you are expected to complete to the best of your ability. Further, it is expected that you will arrive on time and stay for the entire workshop. The experience is designed such that all the content is important to engage with. After the workshop, you are strongly encouraged to engage with Action Teams that will be formed during the experience. These Action Teams will support you in building on what you learn in the workshop.
Registration Fee
After providing your registration information below, you will be asked to pay the FTI registration fee ($700) to complete the registration process.
Financial Support Available
The National Science Foundation grant also provides some registration and travel subsidies for participants from departments with financial constraints. For more information and to apply for this support, please email PI Rachel Ivie at [email protected].

No personal information will be shared in public publications.
In the registration fee payment process, you will be asked to set up a free AAPT account if you do not have one already. That step allows us to store your contact information in the AAPT database as a record of your participation in the FTI.
