Registration Process

Step 1:  Sign In using your email address as your username.  Username and password are case-sensitive.  Note that Registration Options are not available until you sign in.

Step 2:   Use the Register Myself button to select your registration option.

Remember to answer any questions that are required for each registration option you pick.  Use the Update Responses button to save your responses to the questions.

Step 3:  Use the Next button to proceed to the selection of registration items (workshops, etc.) or to go to checkout.

Spouse/Guest Registration: You cannot register a colleague, student, fellow physicist or anyone that submits and abstract as a spouse/guest. 

Photo Release:
AAPT and its legal representatives and assigns, retain the right and permission to publish, without charge, photographs taken during this event. These photographs may be used in publications, including electronic publications, or in audio-visual presentations, promotional literature, advertising, or in other similar ways.

Saturday, July 20th - 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM. 78th Annual Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo PRCA Extreme Bull Riding American bull riding has been called "the most dangerous eight seconds in sports. To receive a score, the rider must stay atop the bull for eight seconds with the use of one hand on a rope, touching the bull or themselves with the free hand, or failing to reach the eight-second mark, results in a no-score ride. Grab your boots and hat and join in the fun at the 78 Annual Spanish Fork Fiesta Rodeo. This is your chance to experience the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) Xtreme Bulls bull-riding event. The PRCA Xtreme Bulls Tour showcases the PRCA's top bull riders and some of the rankest bulls the world has to offer. $30 includes transportation and reserved seating

Monday, July 22 from 12:00 to 1:30 PM - Career development and networking can be time consuming, so AAPT is offering a fun and exciting way to get connected to a large number of early career and seasoned physics professionals in a short amount of time. Speed networking provides the opportunity to discuss career goals and challenges with a new contact for five minutes, exchange information, and then move on to the next person. By the end of the event each participant will have meaningful interactions with over half a dozen colleagues and the opportunity to meet many more. If you think you made a good contact, follow up with the person and schedule a time to meet for coffee. It's that simple! By the end of the first day of the conference, you would have already made several personal connections with other attendees. If you have business cards, don't forget to bring them.

Join friends and colleagues at the indoor summer picnic, which will be held in the Physics Department building on the campus of Brigham Young University. The food will be prepared by the Physics Department staff. The picnic will be followed by the Demo Show that will be held at BYU from 8:30 - 9:30 pm. Round trip transportation will be provided to the picnic from the convention center. There will also be a return trip for those that have to return to the convention center right after the picnic. The buffet style menu will include; dinner ham, cheesy potato casserole, salad bar, rolls, juice, and assorted desserts.

July 24-25 - PERC provides an opportunity for those in the field of physics education research and allied fields to share their research, obtain feedback, explore diverse perspectives and discuss issues relevant to the community.
